Vader

Tiny town with big heart ...
One of the smallest cities in Lewis County, Vader is growing now! The close-knit community welcomes visitors and new residents to experience the rich history of Vader’s early Victorian era.
~ Vader was once known as Little Falls - named after a drop in the Olequa Creek just north of the city. It was once the largest town between Kalama and Tacoma, boasting 3,000 residents in the 1890s. It declined throughout the 20th century, appearing in a book “Ghost Towns of the West” in the 1970s. It is regaining a sense of community, history, and most importantly, population.
